RTCZ has continued to be a partner transforming Pediatric HIV case finding in Luapula, Northern and Muchinga provinces of Zambia.

Over the past five years, the project sustained its commitment in addressing the pediatric case finding, effectively utilizing the family index testing strategy to identify every child and adolescent underage of 19 years eligible for HIV testing services, regardless of biological status.

This strategic dedication translated into a landmark achievement of 90% saturation across all initial implementation sites. Over 242,033 children were identified and tested from 2021 to 2025, signifying a 97% KYCHS testing coverage.

Building on this, the project has continued working tirelessly to replicate this model from the initial supported facilities to the expansion and Technical Assistance (TA) site which is currently at 99% coverage. The teams continue to follow up all women living with HIV aged 15 years and above, providing them health education on the benefits of knowing one’s HIV status and offering them counselling and testing services to ensure no child is left behind.
